CX 747.

CX 747. Hi guys, Is it upper or lower deck of the Cathay 747 better? also, are they the long haul business seat when flying between HKG and SIN?

If it's a 747 It will almost certainly be the old herringbone "coffin" seats but CX are notorious for aircraft changes on these intra-Asia routes. If that occurs you will likely find yourself in their regional business seats on a B777 or A330, but still OK for a short day-time flight. There's a remote chance that you might get the newer long-haul business seat.

My preference is upper deck on the 747, but each to his own.

I believe CX has only one type of business class seat on the 747, that being the old international aka "coffin" seats.

My preference is always for the upper deck, when there is a choice, given it's more cosy. But I have not flown on a CX 747 so cannot comment specifically.

Yes, you are correct. I had thought they might have refitted a few but that's not the case.
