What's with Priority Guest and Rydges out of GHA Discovery?

Years ago I joined Priority Guest Reward (mainly for work-booked hotel points). I'm Gold. So on the 18th of Nov I received the following:

YOUR JOURNEY CONTINUES WITH GHA DISCOVERY As our valued member, we’d like to inform you that Rydges Hotels & Resorts will no longer participate in the DISCOVERY loyalty programme beginning 1 December 2021. But don’t worry, your member benefits will still be honoured for stays booked before this date.

As our journey continues, we hope you’ll continue to enjoy your exclusive benefits and rewards at more than 500 other hotels resorts and palaces worldwide.

But on the Rydges site they still promote the Priority Guest Rewards... and I can still logon, still Gold. is this now a separate program to Discovery/unaffiliated? seems only to list:

Was I just signed up by default to Discovery?

Correct - you are now the holder of two seperate hotel programs now. I contacted GHA and they advised my former Rydges PGR log in remains the same for GHA but I am non-associated member (no longer affiliated with any specific GHA hotel brand). Weird way of doing it but for Australians the only real option would be Pan Pacific’s program.
