Hey guys, where can I go to check on aircraft type changes etc.
My problem is that I have a PER-MEL flight, J class, booked on 16/6. I specifically booked the VA698 Red Eye time so that I'd get the A330 and a chance of some shut eye... It's now showing up as 73H.
This is my not happy face!!!
Serious case of first world problems, but I want to be on the A330. Advice?

Problem is that the aircraft type can change down to the last half an hour - it happens. If your schedule allows it, change flights or perhaps ask them for PER-SYD-MEL for the same points/price (and you'll get an extra 40 SC).

So is there anyone in the know who could tell me the likelyhood of it being an A330? It was a 330 when I booked and was when I looked again a couple of weeks ago. Given it's PER-MEL red eye, it really should be... just wondering whether I change... gah!

I too have a PER-MEL-HBA Virgin Australia flight booked in J class in June. I purposely booked to come home from overseas via PER in order to get the A330 Coat to Coast business class service. Unfortunately, this red eye flight on the 27th June has also been downgraded to a 73H. Weren't VA, a little while ago, promoting the fact that all of their MEL-PER-MEL services were now A330 operated? I'm a little bit peeved by it to tell you the truth.
