Get the points: Qantas Double Frequent Flyer points for Jetstar customers
Jetstar is offering double Qantas Frequent Flyer points on the first 1,000 flights booked with its "max bundle".
To get the double points, the fare has to be booked with one of Jetstar's new Max Bundles, which, for an extra fee, turn the basic Jetstar fare into a points-earning one.
While it might seem counterintuitive to pay an extra amount to earn Frequent Flyer points, the fact that the add-on also turns the ticket into a flexible one, offers status credits, and is still cheaper than booking a basic ticket on Qantas or Virgin Australia, it's actually a very good value option.
The double points offer is available for the first 1,000 members booked from 11am yesterday through to 11.59pm on 24 May 2011 (or whichever is earlier).
Bookings must be for travel between 17 May and 17 December 2011.
The deal applies to all flights operated by Jetstar Airways, Jetstar Asia or Valuair with a 'JQ', '3K' or 'VF' flight number, but excludes Jetstar Pacific (BL).
Jetstar says if multiple passengers on one itinerary are Qantas Frequent Flyer members, all Qantas Frequent Flyer members will earn double points provided each member's Qantas Frequent Flyer number has been entered in the booking at the time of booking.
