Ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street: the largest Ibis in Australasia
Brisbane is gearing up for the largest Ibis hotel in Australasia with the opening of the Ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street property in Q1 2016.
Construction of the 368-room hotel is now complete at 40 Elizabeth Street in the city’s CBD...
... with its location making the hotel one of the most centrally-located hotels in the CBD, adjoining the Myer Centre and Queen Street Mall and close to the Hilton Brisbane hotel.
It’s also within easy walking distance of Brisbane’s financial hub and a raft of waterfront restaurants at the Eagle Street Pier.
The Ibis Brisbane Elizabeth Street hotel will add to AccorHotels’ portfolio of over 10 properties in the city, complementing three existing Ibis hotels including Ibis Brisbane, Ibis Budget Windsor, Ibis Budget Brisbane Airport and the upcoming Ibis Brisbane Airport hotel, also set to open in 2016.
Brisbane’s latest hotel plans come after the launch of the funky Ibis Adelaide hotel in 2014, giving the brand a fresh, modern and funky new look:
That $70 million property offers 311 modern rooms and facilities for both business and leisure travellers including a lobby-based business centre and an on-site restaurant and bar.

Oh that's what's being built there. I walk past the site nearly every day, it's being prepared at the moment.
Not only will it be Australia's largest Ibis, I'd say it will be the narrowest too. The frontage of that block would be no more than 15 metres.
