New Armani amenity kits in Qatar Airways business, first class
IN BRIEF | Qatar Airways’ business and first class passengers can now take home a stylish new Giorgio Armani amenity kit, packed with nifty goodies for your flight and bathroom back at home.
In business class the ladies score with an Armani Si fragrance and a perfumed body lotion, while you’ll find a near-identical amenity kit in first class but with eye makeup remover:
It’s a similar deal for the gents – business class passengers receive an Acqua di Gio fragrance and after shave balm, joined by an Armani Men ‘master lotion’ in First:
Not forgotten are the basics such as eyeshades, socks, earplugs and lip balm, with female passengers also picking up a sturdy hairbrush:
On overnight flights, first class flyers will also now receive pyjamas – or ‘sleeper suits’ in airline lingo – by Italian fashion house Missoni, paired with matching slippers.
Qatar Airways flies daily from Melbourne and Perth to its hub in Doha, and then onwards to over 140 destinations spanning the Middle East, Europe, Africa and more.

Hey Chris,
I am not to sure what is new about these amenity kits, as we recieved these same ones last year when flying QR.
Although I do have to say, I think the QR amenity kits are now pretty bad compaired to some other airlines, when we first flew with them in 2011, from memory they were much better then and now a very budget kit. Even the cabin crew said it was more of a cost saving kit.

The quality of these kits is not better then the previous ones. The eye shades and socks for business class are a MUCH poorer quality then the ones previously given. I still carry my old ones, as they are more comfortable to use, and of a thicker/softer quality.

This week flew QR MIA-DOH and then connected DOH-CPT and they were good however cant rave about the amenity kits - they were OK but not flash. They had sleeper suits in business (both flights had just J and Y) and slippers. One small thing that impressed me is they are the only airline I have been on where a choice of champagnes was offered. Nice touch. My travel agent (Traveltoo in Sydney) saved me close to $1000 in taxes by routing me through DOH from MIA rather than going through LHR and it allowed me the transit time at a hotel at QR's expense in DOH.
