Lion City luxury: Pullman Singapore Orchard to open in December
The new five-star stay offers a convenient and very central Orchard Road location.
When the Pullman Singapore Orchard opens at the end of December it will have everything you’d expect from a luxury hotel in the middle of this thriving Asian metropolis, plus something you wouldn’t expect: a beach club with cabanas and a swim-up pool bar.
This twist on the seemingly-mandatory infinity pool is just one way Accor intends the Pullman Singapore Orchard to stand out in an already-crowded market.
The location will be hard to beat: the Pullman Singapore Orchard is being built atop the Knightsbridge Shopping Centre, which puts it right in the middle of the vibrant Orchard Road shopping strip, with both the Orchard and Somerset MRT stations just a five-minute stroll way.
And in a nod to those high-end shops, Accor says the Pullman Singapore Orchard’s 326 rooms and suites will be inspired by famous fashion brands.
Rooms start at 26 square metres, greeting guests with floor-to-ceiling windows offering city views, high-speed WiFi and a rain shower with C.O. Bigelow amenities.
Suites begin with the 40sqm Club Residence which includes an outdoor patio and access to the hotel’s lounge, The Archive Club.
Fresh Asian flavours will be on show at the 110-seat Eden Restaurant, the hotel’s main eatery open from 6:30am daily and serving a rich selection of Singaporean, Thai, Malaysian and Filipino dishes.
Eden Restaurant will operate in tandem with Atelier Lounge, a modern speakeasy-style bar featuring a colourful and sustainably minded drinks menu, drawing on locally sourced ingredients along with a natural and biodynamic wine list.
As previously reported, one of the city's many other Accor properties – the So Singapore – has left the group and joined the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World group under the new name of the Hotel Telegraph.
