Qatar Airways, Accor ALL partnership adds points, status fast-track
The alliance between the Gulf carrier and hotel giant packs plenty of two-way benefits.
Qatar Airways Privilege Club Platinum members will be fast-tracked to Accor ALL Gold status, with ALL Diamonds enjoying complimentary Privilege Club Platinum membership, as fruits of a strategic partnership between the airline and hotel group.
Privilege Club and ALL members will pocket up to 1 Avios for every €1 spent on eligible stays at participating Accor hotels, in addition to the usual ALL Reward points.
Similarly, they’ll earn 1 ALL Reward point for every US$2 spent on eligible Qatar Airways flights, alongside the standard serve of Avios.
Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori, describes the move as being in keeping with “constantly striving to achieve excellence by providing a loyalty programme that sets the highest standards for our members.”
The status fast-tracks for Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Accor ALL members, once their respective accounts are linked, will certainly have strong appeal: here’s how they stack up.
Qatar Airways Privilege Club Gold members will be upgraded to ALL Silver status following “the first eligible international hotel stay with Accor” – providing extra benefits such as complimentary welcome drinks, priority welcome, late check-out and more.
That same single eligible international hotel stay with Accor will see Privilege Club Platinum members boosted to ALL Gold status, granting them guaranteed room availability, complimentary room upgrades, early check-in, late check-out and more.
As for Accor ALL members taking their “first eligible Qatar Airways flight”: ALL Gold members will be upgraded to Qatar Airways Privilege Club Silver tier, while ALL Platinum members ascend to Qatar Airways Privilege Club Gold, and membership – the ‘sweet spot’ for priority check-in, extra baggage allowance, complimentary seat selection, lounge access, meet and greet service and more.
ALL Diamond members will rocket straight to Qatar Airways Privilege Club Platinum – the airline’s highest tier - which includes a primo park of entry to the lavish Al Safwa First Lounge at Doha’s Hamad International Airport when travelling in Qatar Airways business class.

You know - it feels a little bit like Qatar is becoming QFs frenemy number 1. With the virgin partnership and following through with the same hotel partnership, I wonder if Qantas will react at all.

If you previous linked you ALL account with Qantas (or another airline) in the last year, you are not eligible for this offer. They make you wait until a full year has passed and then you can unlink from current airline and then link to Qatar.

I'd say it's a marketed QR flight number in your booking and on your boarding pass would be considered eligible. If you were on a codeshare flight operated by QR but marketed by another airline (e.g. BA) then this would not be an eligible flight.

Signed up to Qatar privilege program as a ALL diamond member but was unable to link as my account is already linked with Qantas. Looks like you can only link 1 airline to your account. Ah well

You need to ring Accor and tell them to switch airlines.

So to be clear - For the Qatar/Accor match to happen you need to stay one night in an international hotel i.e. a room that is in another country than your residence?

I'm Melbourne based and I just stayed at an interstate hotel. Upgraded to Gold in a few days after I stayed. I assume anywhere in Australia is fine.
