Plaza Premium opens arrivals lounge at London Heathrow Airport
London’s Heathrow Airport is now home to a new Plaza Premium pay-in arrivals lounge in T2, The Queen’s Terminal.
With showers and even a day spa, passengers can freshen up after their long journey and rejuvenate for the day ahead before enjoying a bite and syncing up their gadgets with free Wi-Fi – regardless of which airline they’re travelling with or where they’re sitting on board.
Found in the public area of the T2 arrivals hall, it’s also open to passengers who’ve arrived at the airport before their flight has opened for check-in: perfect if you need to leave your hotel and work away, but can’t yet get your boarding pass.
£25 (A$47) gets a one-hour stopover with a shower, lounge access and food and beverage included, while a shower on its own costs £15 (A$28), with no access to the lounge’s other spaces.
Priority Pass members also get through the door as part of their membership when travelling on the same day, and in all cases, spa treatments come at an extra charge – £45 ($84) for 30 minutes and £80 (A$150) for an hour.
So too do the private resting suites for some much-needed shut-eye, which can be reserved for periods of three hours or more.
Plaza Premium also opened a pay-in departure lounge in The Queen’s Terminal earlier this year, with a new lounge in Heathrow’s Terminal 4 on the drawing board for 2015.
