Qantas Business Lounges to stay open this Christmas, New Year

Here's happy news for frequent flyers: Qantas will keep its Business Lounges at Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra airports open over the annual Christmas/New Year period.

Previous years have seen the lounges shut their doors for two to three weeks, to undergo what the airline described as "routine cleaning and maintenance,", with business class travellers and Platinum card-holders having to rough it at the Qantas Club.

However, a Qantas spokeswoman confirms to Australian Business Traveller that the domestic Business Lounges "will remain open over the Christmas period this year."

Now here is Qantas news to grin about! A very welcome move, and something to make the hectic holidays just a little less stressful for J and elite QFFs.
