Hi all. It's been a very long time since I have flown internationally and I'm after some advice. I'm flying on an Emirates A380 from MEL to DXB and then transferring to an Emirates 777 from DXB to OSL. I leave in about three weeks. The transfer time is 2 hours 10 minutes. The flights are booked with QF flight numbers and I have Platinum One status. I plan to travel light with just carry-on luggage. I have heard nightmare stories at other airports. I just wondered what people's experience has been of transfers at Dubai? I will have access to a priority lane during the transfer - but any tips or tricks? Many thanks.
Transfer in Dubai is relatively easy and I would expect 2 hours is way more than needed - and if you have Platinum status you will be able to access lounge once going through the transfer area for ease of boarding onto next flight.
Dubai is easy: at worst you get the train to the next terminal 5 minutes away after a lift to the bowels of the airport. You may then have to get a bus to the nether regions of the airport but that is after boarding, so their problem not yours. Two hours is more than enough. Easily done in an hour.

Oslo being in Europe probably won’t have you on the bus, but board from the terminal. My connections were to South Asia or west Africa hence the bus.
