Thanks to my business class JAL ticket back to Australia, I am sitting in the Air France lounge in the K gates area of CDG terminal 2E after having been in the 2E lounge in the L gates area. I was amazed at how these compare - the lounge in the L gates area is spacious, has a reasonable selection of food etc, whereas the K gates lounge is cramped, almost no food, even very limited toilet facilities - it reminds me of the British Airways basic lounges in Heathrow. Air France has an unusual lounge system, but the level of variation is really striking - and there don't seem to be many (any?) other options for OneWorld emerald folks flying JAL

The JAL experience will more than make up for a poor lounge. They are simply a great airline to fly-esp if you hold ow status.
