I can’t see any announcement but you can book direct Seoul-Melbourne flights! It’s showing up as OZ6043/6033 on an A350 with wifi. It seems like once a week in January.
They did a trial of this just before COVID on a B777.
I still can’t believe Qantas chose to run their Korea flights out of Sydney. There are 5 airlines doing Seoul-Sydney and zero to Melbourne. The Melbourne and Seoul are the most popular destination not served by a direct flight from both cities.
Years ago when JAL finally committed to a Melbourne-Tokyo flight Qantas immediately announced one too. Maybe Asiana might prompt a similar response.

Wonderful news. Another good airline from Melbourne into the "stans" via Seoul 👌 👏 karakalpakstan here I come 😀 via Tashkent.
