I understand the "manufacturing" delay on the QF a350-1000 relates to the centre fuel tank. I believe EASA has required this be redesigned and reinforced. There is apparently some doubt about whether that can be successfuly achieved. One issue is extra weight such a modification will cause. Time will tell.
Oh dear, yes I've just read that from Reuters hotp from the Singapore Airshow. Annoying to say the least but hopefully lesson's have been learn't from the same A321XLR issues and it will be a relatively quick fix, safety first thank goodness.
