I'm travelling United business Sydney to San Francisco, then have an onwards, short haul domestic connection ("First" class) on United on the same day, same itinerary. Will I have access to the Polaris lounge in San Francisco? I'm Velocity Platinum if that makes a difference. It doesn't seem like I'd have access to the lower, United Club as I'm not travelling on another international or transcon flight so hoping I can use the Polaris lounge.
Also, does 1hr 45min connection time seem adequate? I've never transited through San Fran.
Have to concur with StuParr (above). Polaris information is spot on - but 45 mins to clear Customs and Immigration in SFO? You may need that lounge access more than you think, as you await to join a later flight. It seems to me that your planned connection is less than the required MCT (minimum connect time) which is usually 60-75 minutes from international to domestic in USA gateways.
Yeah, 1:45mins is long enough to make a transfer to the next flight but with 1hr or so on average with associated immigration, baggage, security again and gate, it doesn’t leave much time for the lounge. See how you go when you arrive.

Polaris customers with onward flights have access to the lounge. We used it in LA after a BNE - LAX flight with onward connection.
Not sure you will have time to visit the lounge with the short connection time though.
