Hi all, Quick question if I could. Can anyone help confirm the earliest check in at Sydney international airport for Qantas. I checked the qantas site and it shows 3 hours prior to my flight, but i thought from memory there was the ability to check in earlier for A380 flights at Sydney. This could be a COVID cancelled option though. I normally connect in from Melbourne so don't really know allot about Sydney. Hoping to maximise my time in the F lounge. Thanks all.

If you connected from Melbourne then go to First Class check-in lounge in Melbourne and check MEL-SYD as well as SYD-LAX. So you will have your boarding pass on hands and can go inside as soon as you transferred from domestic to international terminal.

I see. I do not think that you will have any problem to check in in dedicated First counter. This is QF home anyway. Also AFAIK they should call you day before to book Spa treatment. Ask them during conversation. Say that you arrived from interstate by car early enough :-)) Good luck. I personally looking forward to visit First Lounge in few weeks time. I been in many First lounges, but never in Sydney QF one.

Hi,
I have read on this forum before, and specifically in relation to enjoying the first class lounge, that because Sydney is the home of Qantas you can check from a soon as the terminal opens regardless of what time you fly. I'll be doing that in November as I've just gained Platinum and want to enjoy everything, two hours the other day was sadly not enough.

My understanding is also all day check in at Sydney. Though I don't have a source to hand.
