Do I have to show the physical AMEX Platinum card for lounge entry?

Do I have to show the physical AMEX Platinum card for AMEX lounge entry? Or can I show the card displayed in the app?

I never carry cards on me, and just have them in my iPhone wallet.

I know that you have to physically show Centurion card to access Centurion lounge in HKG, it may be worth looking up their entry rules?

Earlier or later you drop your phone or someone steal it or it just run out of juice. What you going to do next?

Ha-Ha-Ha! Yes, it is funny, but when traveling I keep my wallet inside cabin suitcase (not in heap pocket) and I do not keep everything in just one wallet. In main wallet that I use on daily basis during traveling I never keep stuff like driver license, medicare etc - basically I carry with me one main credit card and local currency. How they said do not put all eggs in one basket. So keeping EVERYTHING, not just tickets and booking, but also all money in one single device is in my books incredibly careless. Of course YMMV and by big margin.

The couple of times that I have been to the Amex Lounge, they have asked to see the physical card (it isn't a platinum card though), but that was a few years ago.
