Anyone seen any reward seats on QF site with Qatar? I NEVER remember to see business and now I cannot see even economy (not that I am interested in economy). So they do not release award seats at all? Or I am missing something?
Pretty sure Qatar pulled all award inventory from Qantas and directed it to Virgin.
But they in OneWorld or I am missing something?
They both are but that doesn't mean they play nicely with each other. QF's alliance with EK means QR does not see it as a partner so they restrict what they offer QF FFs to the absolute minimum required by the alliance. This is unlikely to change and, as was, said, QR will concentrate on directing available inventory to VA.

Definitely a lot easier to find reward seats on Qatar with VA.
I got Business return reward seats Melbourne to Dublin via Doha earlier in the year. It was the first time I even searched for the dates I wanted and they had seats available!
(Booked about 6 weeks before the flight and was VA platinum if that made any difference at all)

From memory - J seats are released (if at all) to QF 3 or 4 days before flight departure, Y about 30 days

Qatar give virtually no business class award seats to Qantas as payback for Qantas blocking their application to launch more flights to Australia.
As Virgin did not object to this, they get a lot more award seats.
