Has anyone received the communication today about the QFF program changes. Like all devaluation exercises it has been dressed up as a story about new benefits that are good for members, but the key point appears to be that rates for Classic Rewards redemptions (ie the only redemptions that don't represent appalling value) are being increased.

Am I being too cynical when I think that this is the second stage of the "Classic Plus" changes?

No, you not too cynical. However Qantas definitely is. Saying that I like to point that point price for Classic Rewards not such a big deal comparing to virtual non-existing of reward seats. Try to search and you see only economy and JQ "business". It not just getting worse - whole program falling to the hell with great acceleration. Such a shame.

Qantas wants to have both...sell QF points to banks and every other business in Australia, whilst systematically devaluing the program for people who collect the points - only the truly savy reward and points collectors know they are being screwed, the rubes just think yay qantas points in rich, they are so generous

How "smart" one needs to be to understand that he continuously being screwed by anyone who holding any kind of commodity? Banks screwing you on money, QF on points, oil industry on petrol and so on. On top of that government screwing you on everything.
