I'm BA Exec Club Gold (OW Emerald) and flying CX SYD-HKG in J. I know my OW status will give me access to the amazing QF F lounge which I am very excited about. Just a quick question though, do you actually need to be flying QF F to avail of ALL the services in the lounge (eg Spa etc)? For example I know that BA grants access to it's lounges for OW Sapphires/Emeralds yet will still only allow certain services (like the spa) to those booked in BA J/F.
Just curious as trying to gauge how much time I should allow for my lounge experience :-)
No special advantage to QF Plat/PlatOne (Emerald) over other OW status.
The only advantage is for people flying actual QF F, who will get called the day before to book a spa service and often have a table reserved for when they finish the treatment,
Apart from that the spa is first come, first served, but can be difficult to get into at peak times,
Having been in the QF First Lounge @Sydney last year with a complimentary invitation (thanks eBay!!), there isn't enough time in the world to explain how great it is!!
The spa treatment is second to none (I got 45 minutes when I was there), the food was amazing (eggs benedict for breakfast), and there are constantly people coming around with food and drinks, an abundance of computers and offices to work in, and the lounge is often empty!!
Have a great time on your visit to that lounge, and allow plenty of time in there, it will be well worth it!
Cooper81: I suggest allowing as much time as you can, although mainly in the hope of getting a spa treatment. This AusBT article may also help with planning your visit:

Russell: I've attached a screenshot from the Qantas International First Lounge 'virtual tour' walkthrough, which you can access at http://www.qantas.com.au/travel/airlines/international-first-lounge/global/en
