Any confirmation on Tom Bradley opening for August ??? Will their be a new QF First lounge or best to stay in T4?

New airline lounges for LAX: what you’ll see, and when

Jason, the LAX official website says that the TBIT will open sometime in September.

Jason's raised an interesting idea.

Assuming you've checked your bags through to Australia and hold a boarding pass for your QF flight, you could theoretically stay in the AA Flagship Lounge, since there is a bus that takes you from T4 to your TBIT departure gates, without the need to go through security at TBIT.

Question is, how often does the bus transfer run and what is the last run for the night? Does anyone know?

The AA Flagship lounge is far superior compared to the offerings at TBIT (although not as good as the First Lounge in SYD & MEL).

Bus runs on the half hour.

I suspect that 10.30 or 11pm would be the last bus, to connect to the 11.50pm QF108 departure. Have never left it this late personally.

For once someone's going out of their way to use an AA lounge! Hah!

Just arrived to LAX from SYD and in the T4 AA First lounge now waiting for my flight to YYZ. That is the best idea ATM to stay here ive been doing this for some time and take the bus as late as possible to TBIT when transiting back to SYD. Be interesting when the QF first lounge does open in 2014 in TBIT how it is compared to this lounge.
