I'm traveling on Air NZ in economy booking class V to Auckland connecting to Vancouver. Will I get a meal on my SYD - AKL flight?

From what i remember there is not always an overlap between the airnz fare classes and the "works" and "works deluxe" products, meaning it could be added to any fare class.
Having said that, v does look to fall into a works/works delux package going off this http://www.airnzagent.com.au/the-works which means you should get a meal.

This is a Tasman Smart Saver. You'll get something to eat, but if you're not Works or Works Deluxe you'll have to buy it. Most of us would consider it a snack anyway. Something like a meat pie or a panini isn't unusual, with a cookie (or an ice cream if you're in luck). Don't expect a full international service meal. Personally I wouldn't buy on board, take your own Subway or similar from SYD airport and you'll do better. Coffee/tea/water are free to all pax.

As your booking is part of an international journey (SYD-YVR) you will get a meal provided on board as well as full access to entertainment and drinks.
