Virgin Australia flight VA2 from LAX - which terminal?

I am booked on VA2 for feb 24th. My booking is showing terminal 3 as the departure terminal. I was under the impression all VA flights were leaving from TBIT these days? Does this mean that checkin is still done in terminal 3 and i will have to wander over to TBIT?

You are correct.  Checkin is at Terminal 3, but departure (and lounge) is from TBIT.  They are right next to each other thankfully.
