I went through this exercise too, planning for our AY trip last week BKK to HEL. The QF lounge is closed when the AY morning flight to BKK departs. I'm OWE and was travelling in J and received an invite to the CIP First Class lounge when I checked in. The lounge was easily located and is identified by a Finnair banner at the entrance. We arrived just before 8am and the lounge was almost empty and there was (surprisingly) a decent range of hot and cold breakfast options (eggs, sausages, ham, beans, cereal, yogurts, pastries, sandwiches etc) and plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The attendants at the front desk were pleasant and helpful, the WiFi worked well, the toilets were clean and there was even a smokers room within the lounge. The only thing to watch is they don't make flight announcements so you need to keep an eye on that for yourself. Everything else was just fine and really no different to most other business class lounges IMHO.
The Qantas lounge is definitely the best of the three oneworld lounges - qantas/BA/Cathay. All three lounges are located within a ten second walk from one another so easy to lounge hop. The Cathay lounge is the most disappointing - considering how amazing their Hong Kong lounges are.
Agree with Cooper. Don't even waste your time with the Cathay lounge - just like their Singapore one - it is very ordinary. The QF lounge is fairly new and has a nice champers [Moet] and good selection of wines, spirits and snacks :)
