Good question.
What about the design a menu competition to win a business class trip domestically? I went as far as to design a dish. When I put it together, it tasted offensive, reminding me why I'm an average cook so I decided to not enter.... Any word on that?

Riley, thats more facetious than any convoluted question I came up with.
Unlike yourself, people entered the survey and there was a great amount of personal data entered in order to "win" a prize, with the prize conditions stating the winner would be announced on the 15th of January on this website.
There has been a clear breach of the terms and conditions of the prize draw, which leads someone to think something untoward. While my intial post might have been strongly worded with bias, it is not without question.
Does anyone win, does noone win except the people they sold our data too?
Unless this is anncounced post haste, I would request my data be erased.. Unless I won, then you could have it.

If you're that sensitive about your personal data, you probably should have taken the time to read the T&Cs, which would undoubtedly contain a disclaimer about data retention.
I entered, fully aware that winning is a long shot and the data would be harvested.
Agree that the lack of communication does nothing for people's trust but I won't be losing sleep over it.

Yes, we're behind in publishing the details of the reader survey winners - they have however been contacted, I've just been wanting to make sure all the winners do get back to me to claim their prize - we'll list their names this week. As to the Virgin Australia "design a business class dish" competition, this was entirely run by Virgin Australia and not Australian Business Traveller.
