So will there be for A330 economy improvements depending on the aircraft be once it's all completed be?

international:all new economy seats and entertainment

10 (all) A330-300s

4 A330-200 international

Domestic:

8 newer A330-200s just refreshed economy with no economy entertainment improvements

4 older A330-200s refreshed seats with wifi for entertainment to iPad minis

I ment 6 older A330-200s refreshed seats with wifi for entertainment to iPad minis

My understanding is this:

All A333 will be refitted with Panasonic AVOD

All A332 with Panasonic AVOD will keep that system

All A332 with Rockwell Colins AVOD will be replaced with iPad mini's

All A332 with no seatback screens will receive iPad mini's

Although if this is wrong, I am sure someone will quickly chime in :)

The above info is of course for economy only. All business class will receive Panasonic AVOD with 16" touch screen.

It seems like a bakward step to take out the AVOD on the A332 and replace it an Ipad.

I guess this is another economy "enhancement"

there are only 2 A332s a/c that QF are keeping which have the very old/outdated tiny square screens Rockwell Colins AVOD system, and QF are replacing this old sysyem with a larger AVOD ipad screen which will have more content/better features...it's actually a forward step for these 2 a/c

...plus...there are 2 more A332s with this old system, but it's speculated these other 2 a/c will leave the QF Group completely (this may change).

note this relates ONLY to the 332s, NOT 333s

There is nothing backward about removing the Rockwell Collins System.

It is a small tiny, square screen, and comes with a massive underseat box that severely limits legroom.

iPad much better, although given the space in the seat should have gone the ipad not the mini

To be honest I do not understand what is fuss about – majority pax have their own devises and contents and for those who do not iPads is perfect solution. Conveniently located USB ports for charging those own devises are far more important. They could give even two per seat.

the a332s  which have the QF ipads DO have 2 USB ports..ONE has the QF suplied ipad plugged into it...and the other is for BYO devices...and the a/c which have a Panasonic AVOD also have a USB port for your BYO devices...as I mentioned in a previous post, ALL 330s will have USB ports
