Hi all flying QF35 MEL-SIN June 2 in J, seat configuration shows new business suite while my return flight QF82 SIN-SYD June 8 shows old configuration. Does anyone know what the chances are this may perhaps change to a refurbished config?

I think chances are about 25%, I am not really sure.

I wouldn't hold out too much hope. There will still just be the two current international upgraded A330s flying by then (Qantas says they expect to have "seven upgraded (A330) aircraft in service by the end of June" - the mix is expected to be four domestic and three international) and they're mainly flying a specific pattern which gives them X days on SYD-SIN, X days on MEL-SIN etc, so I'd say the schedule is a relatively reliable indicator right now.
