What is the record for Status Credits accumulated on QF in a year? How many do really frequent flyers accumulate? I travel a lot and re-qualified for P1 "easily" this year, but bet there are folks who travel much more.....

I highly doubt that this information would be publish anywhere, however Qantas' highest published points bonus is 100,000 points once 7,000 status credits have been earned in a year. I would suggest the record is well north of 7,000 status credits.

Thx Peter, I didn't know about the 100,000 FF points bonus - not that I'd get ever get 7,000 Status credits. I often get the 50,000 bonus points for the 2,400 SCs; but never make P1. I looked into what is required to get 7,000 SCs in a year. 9 return trips in First Class from Sydney - London comes in just over that total, at 7,560 SCs. Is it really possible that anyone is doing Sydney - London that many times in a year - in First! Wow!!

One person in my previous organisation is literally on a long haul flight every couple of days.
Making some pretty conservative assumptions:
182 flights per year, half of these on Qantas = 91 flights
J class Sydney-Singapore, for argument's sake = 120 Status Credits
91 x 120 = 10,920 Status Credits
Not suggesting he'd be anything like the record, but there are absolutely people out there who do this.

Sorry if I wasn't clear; Singapore was just an example.
He flies regularly to Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Shanghai, Dubai and London with Qantas; Los Angeles and Honolulu with Air NZ; and Santiago with LAN.

And there would be plenty like that around the traps.
The 9 return trips from Sydney to London in first isn't totally unrealistic eitehr. Think a head of business with an Aus and Europe based region that commutes every 6 weeks. If they're fortunate enough to be flying first, it's well within reach.
