Hi,
2 questions about KrisFlyer (have no status with SQ, transferring Amex points over).
1. Can you book a flight with stopover online? We are wanting to SYD-NRT with a 2 day stopover in SIN on the way there. There is a 15% discount of points for booking fully online. Can this be done without calling?
2. Can SQ, like CX Marco Polo, hold seats while you transfer the points from Amex? Would prefer to know 100% that we seats before I transfer 310k points through.
Cheers,

1. Yes, you can book a flight with stopover online. As far as I know, the 15% discount is automatically applied when we book online (this was what I experienced anyway).
2. I believe no. You must have the points in order to book your flights. The points will be deducted immediately from your account once you book them.

In 23 years of being a CX Marco Polo member never have they allowed redemption seats to be held without the full points being available at the time of booking and seats confirmed. Same for SQ ,the points are deducted as soon as the redemption seats are confirmed.
Redemption bookings can be made with SQ on line with stop over .Discount applied at that time .

geetravel, yes you can book a stopover, however you may need to pay a surcharge (I think it's about $100USD)
My suggestion is to call Krisflyer, and ask them to book it for you over the phone, and then tell them to ask their supervisor to approve the 15% discount as you tried to do it online but couldnt get it to work. It may work.
To answer your other questions, no, they will not hold a seat for you so you will need to transfer your points across from Amex first before making the booking
