Tronxstuff, Virgin Australia's Happy Hour is placed at a certain time people are usually not using their computers or web-enabled smartphones that much. For example, it's previous Happy Hour was at 12 noon to 1pm (that is when 47% of Australia is eating lunch) and now it is between 4pm to 6pm (where 44% of Australia is going home). It was created to compete with Jetstar's Friday Fare Frenzy. The Happy Hour offers cheaper airfares (especially in the Saver area) but I am surprised they had discounted Business class fares.

With all due respect aero-seat, Tronxstuff was just asking who managed to get some business class airfares. He wasn't asking for an analysis of Happy Hour

I'm sorry, but I was trying to point out that Happy Hour was more like a way of promoting their product. It wasn't designed to especially be a way of giving away cheap fares. People will keep an eye on the Virgin website hoping these fares will pop up again.

FYI

Virgin Blue launched "Happy Hour" Jan 2005

Jetstar started "Friday Fare Frenzy" in Nov 2008

64% of statistics are made up

Unfortuently I couldnt, as my internet connection has been down of late, but if it happens again (with $200 Business class fares), i would definitely love to purchase some

Analysis aside, Virgin's Happy Hour specials seem quite the success. A great way to keep an eye on them is with the Virgn Australia mobile app - you enter where you want to travel and you get a real-time alert when a flight special matches those criteria. I

I did! I managed to book return business class flights Sydney to Cairns using the Virgin App. $400 (as apposed to $1798), was very suprised and lucky! Does anyone know if they'll be serving just a regular hot meal, or the "Three Course Luke Mangan Dining experience" as mentioned on the website. It says it's only for 3hr+ flights but SYD-CNS is only 2.50 hours unfortunately.

You won't get the TCLMDE, however will get a meal relevant to your departure time and a snack later on. You can always ask for something from the Y menu if you're still hungry.
