This goes in the same boat as AA Admirals Club membership and crediting SCs/FFPs to QFF. I did a pretty thourough search through the T&C's - And came up trumps for us!
There is nothing in the T&Cs that say you have to have the FF membership that gets you into the lounge on your boarding pass. Like I mentioned, other QC Lounges in Brisbane, Hobart and Adelaide now the correct rules, but not Melborne.
Showing my EK Gold Card works for the other 3 lounges but not for Melbourne.
As part of the agreement, recipricol lounge access for your EK Gold, is only granted as a "EK Frequent Flyer", if you are flying on an EK flight number as part of the code share agreement. These benefits do not apply If you are flying on a QF flight number, hence, it is not codeshare and the agreements such as lounge access then do not apply.

That's incorrect. From Qantas' own website for domestic Qantas Clubs:
Emirates Gold Skyward Members
Next onward flight that day must be operated by Qantas^ or Emirates^ with a QF or EK flight number. Excludes flights to the Americas and South Africa.
One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight.

Agreed Chris.
highflyer your interpretation does not appear consistent with the information published on the Qantas website.

Chris's post above is all that it says on the QF website, and its a similar thing too for the EK website.
Is inconsistent knowledge amongst airline staff on their own lounges/partnership rules this common?
