qantas platinum frequent flyer - arrivals lounge. Does anyone know if it is possible to enter a domestic lounge anytime of the day of arrival or will you be stopped say 5 hours after arrival?
I'm sure there are rules around when you can access the lounge but in my experience, I occassionally arrive into Sydney or Melbourne and need to head up to the lounge (no checked bags) as I'm often dragged into con-calls with my US office. 95% of the time I flash my Platinum card and I'm allowed in. A few times I've been asked if I've checked in or they want to scan my card, explaining why I want to come in has never been an issue.
I would suspect if the Biz lounge was crowded they might be more diligent.
From the Qantas Website - "Access Domestic Business Lounges or the Qantas Club upon arrival if you have travelled that day on any flight that shows a Qantas, Jetstar Airline or a oneworld® flight number on your ticket. You may also bring two guests, who do not need to be travelling."
