QF11/12 will revert to using a B747 on Tuesdays from the 26th of April so QF7/8 can become daily. Why?

Qantas states what I'm saying here:

http://www.qantas.com.au/agents/dyn/qf/info/201511/1130

SYD/MEL-DXB/LHR is 5 x A380's

SYD-LAX - 2 x A380

MEL-LAX- 2 x A380

SYD- DFW- 2 x A380

1 A380 in MNL for maintenance during most of the year

QF7/8 being increased to daily A380, so the one extra departure it needs the A380 means the 11/12 will be operated by 747. The 747 can't do DFW-SYD non-stop so that's why it'll be going to LAX and not DFW.

I think what the OP is asking, is why is it necessary, when it appears that QF have enough A380's to do both LAX /DFW daily. I'm puzzled by this too.
