Hi
I sent an email to Qantas a fortnight ago but I have not had a reply
After booking a flight from Bne - bkk via syd, qantas changed our return arrival time and we missed our flight from syd bne and had to come an hour later.
As we have plans in bne I asked if we could change flights to go bkk sin on jetstar and sin bne on qantas. Qantas changed the flights with no charges and we are greatfull for this.
However jetstar do not provide a meal or baggage allowance for our infants. And if we want them we have to pay again. We do not think we should have to pay for them twice as we paid for them originally (booked on a full service airline)
Am I wasting my time trying to get qantas to pay for these or does anyone have any ideas.
Thank you

Not the same situation but this is my experience... I was booked on a Qantas flight which was delayed, so I missed my connection and they put me on a Jetstar flight. I had full baggage allowance, and they gave me a voucher - I think it was $10 or $15 - for food on board. The fare class was bumped up, so I earned twice as many status credits, and they also gave me some extra frequent flyer points for the inconvenience. If they won't give you baggage for infants, maybe you can rephrase this to ask for an increased baggage allowance for the adults on the itinerary?

Give them a call
Emailing does nothing when it comes to airlines

Not necessarily Henrus, I recently had an issue with Emirates on a Qantas booking, I emailed Emirates and received a response from both Emirates and Qantas and was reimbursed with money from Emirates and points from Qantas as an act of good faith.

You made a voluntary (suggested by you) change, and now you're rethinking it...
As above call rather than email..
Also not sure how a 1hr time change made you change your plans so much

we are not rethinking it.
we need to come into Brisbane early as possible.
i just don't think we should have to pay for all our meals again and the luggage for the infants.
we have already paid for it in the initial tickets.
as mentioned i will call Qantas instead of email.
thank you everyone for replying..

My understanding JQ should provide full service FOC (according to seat class of course) if you flying QF ticket.

You rather fly Jetstar to get in one hour earlier?
I'm speechless.

I know right?!?!...If it was like 4+ hours i may understand... but for 1 hour.... chances are JQ will be delayed and the time difference which you gained initially will end up being the same time in the end.. if not worse...lol

LOL..you?? speechless?? never gonna happen. When people make such comments constantly, their credibility diminishes rapidly, in my opinion. How many flights have you actually flown on JQ?
ALL my JQ flying is between AVV and SYD...and if required I then fly a connecting flight to another destination via JQ or QF...have done this about 10 times over the past year...no delays..no probs...staff are great to me. I'm a great believer in 'you get as good as you give' ;)
AND highflyer..I choose not to live my life through 'chances are'...you are just another who seems to 'create' their own problems/stress/hassles.
I fly JQ and happily do so...that's my 2cents worth..happy flying everyone...I know I do :)

oh...I forgot to add, that the 2times I chose VA out of SYD, the flights were delayed around 1hr... and didn't want to make the same mistake 3times LOL

I flew them once domestic AU and thought never again.
I fly them a fair bit on the SIN/KUL vv sectors. It's a route that's hard to get wrong and where SQ and MH offers rediculous prices and where MH does not guarantee min 500 miles under Aadvantage.
So get off your high horse undertheradar and actually read the statement. highflyer is absolutely right. With the delays, you'll prolly loose that hour saved!

i think the flight from BKK - BNE via SYD gets in around 1100.
BKK - BNE via SIN gets in at 0600.

Chances are you will have a Jetstar Booing Number or QF Booking Number
When you login to the websites what does it say?
How many bags and who gets meals? Cause this is what they are going to say when you get to BKK so if whats online is not what it should be then ring again to get it fixed.
