I have a Garmin GPS and want to add a US map to it. The maps are cheaper if bought from the US site in US Dollars, is there any reason why this would cause a problem? I assume the maps are the same regardless of whether they are bought in AUS from the Australian site or USD from the US site, can anyone confirm this?
I have a quite old Garmin Nuvi 360 and have found the cheapest way is to buy maps from retailers when in the country (the US in your case). My GPS was bought in Canada with North America pre-installed and I have bought maps for Australia, Europe and the Middle East. They have all worked perfectly.

I might suggest that you go on a technology forum, but I guess you can try your luck to see if anyone here knows.

Robfunk, I'd reckon they would be exactly the same but you're just seeing the all-too-familiar 'Aussie tax' at work here!
