I have flown QF & CX Premium, I would in your case choose CX as they flydirect from PER. If from Sydney then QF. I have found that the QF Premium E service just that litter bit bettter than CX but in saying that CX is good 2

If you want PE all the way then CX is your only option (and looks like it will stay that way).  On the other hand you can save some money on SQ since they only have Y between PER and SIN.  For 5 hours it is OK and you could buy a P seat.  SQ is cheaper than others for this.  SQ also have better connections.

I have done CX SYD to HKG. I agree that QF's product is better. Never tried SQ.

CX dont have dedicated FA's for the PE cabin which is why service is lacking. They just get the J & Y FA's to come down & serve meals.

SQ and QF are far superior to CX when it comes to PE .Basically CX is economy with  enhanced seating .SQ  F&B  far outweighs CX in choice ,quality  and consistency. QF far outweighs CX in service . CX is simply economy service and in the most reduced economy service as the attendants are occupied by economy .

Don't forget there is also BA (SYD ONLY) PRE ECO you could look at? I am flying it in a few weeks to see how it rates. I belive the seating is to the current standard product - so could be an option. Pricing seems to be quite good also. MEL>SIN return $1600 approx.
