So I understand you could connect your own iPhone/iPod Touch to the Cathay Pacific IFE via a Cable which can be loaned onboard or bought from the onboard store.
Firstly does this still exist? and is it only 30 pin phones like the older iPhone 3/4's or have they updated it to support the lighting adapter?
A couple of years ago they only had adapters for the older 30pin style iPhone socket. I had my own 30-pin to lightning adaptor so used the two together to connect my iPhone 5, but the system didn't recognise it.
It still exists but I believe it's still the old-style 30 pin connector, so BYO Lightning adaptor, although as noted above, this doesn't mean it will work with your new iPhone 5 or 6.

They may have updated things by now.
