Well the Surface Pro isn't exactly as big as you'd like but in my books it's the most capable tablet/laptop out there, and there's always the option of picking up the 12.9 inch iPad Pro. I am sure there are many other good tablets out there however these are the only good ones I can come up with right now.

Don't get the new large iPad. I was on a flight this week, sat next to someone using the new larger iPad. He appeared rather proud of himself using that new devise without realising for once what a twat he looked like with that god awful iPad on steroids cradled on his lap. I'm sure Steve Jobs is turning in his grave.

Well long and short of it is when I requested an iPad Air 2 at work the other day I went to IT and got given a bloody iPad pro it stays in my bag and I just went and got an air 2 myself and use that on the plane to avoid looking like an idiot with an iPad pro

True especially when they have it on the tray table with the keyboard case on and the whole bloody plane rattles

Thanks for your review of the iPad Pro, based on nothing but facts, specifications and personal use.

Phil,
Perception is everything I'm afraid. That is the hallmark of Apple product.
An Apple product is not about the device, it is about a lifestyle. The iPod was no better in its day than your average MP3 player. But the iPod represents a status symbol. You don't purchase an Apple device. You purchase an Apple lifestyle. That is where the iPad Pro falls short.
That user I encountered did not fit the description of an "Apple user". I have yet to see your standard "Apple user" embrace the iPad Pro. I am happy to be corrected but as far as I can tell, the iPad Pro does not appear to fit into the eco system of your average "Apple user".

Personally, a fan of the Samsung Galaxy's. Love the ability to add a memory card and also having USB capability. Small enough to carry in a handbag, yet big enough to still feel comfortable tapping away on a keyboard.

Yep, basic functions of a tablet I still never understood why apple users are happy to forgo them

Definitely Samsung, a superior product for around half the price of an apple.

The new microsoft surface book is very good. A game changer for microsoft. Has apple like style. Can pass as a conventional laptop and splits to be beome a tablet. Also includes a surface pen

I hate many of Apple’s approaches, but reality is they still produce most easy to use devices. You just have to pay more.
