I have a flight to Los Angeles on Tuesday in the 3 class Boeing 747ers. There's some seats free in Row 43/44 in the 2 row cabin but Seat guru has warnings about them. Has anyone travelled in these rows before? Are they any good and does Row 44 still recline?

The seats are Row 43 A,B,C and 44 H,K. Which would you recommend too?

I did 43A once, it was a bulkhead seat with no room to stretch out, I actually found it worse than a normal seat.

Definitely Row43 imho. Plenty of legroom with the cutout in the bulkhead (and im over 6ft)

Only downside is the IFE unit in the armrest

Just be aware that bulkheads often get allocated to families with babies. You may end up with noisy neighbours.

That said, I'm 6'4 and always choose a bulkhead window where possible. Private with easier access to the aisle than a normal economy seat. 

Thanks guys. I've taken the punt and selected 43A for tomorrow's flight. Hopefully it ends being a great choice.

I've been on both, row 43 might be a bit uncomfortable for tall people. Row 44 is perfect because you can recline without considering the person behind you, and it does recline as much as other seats.
