I am relocating to Qatar flying economy to Doha. Standard baggage allowance is 30kg. I am also gold QFF which should entitle me to additional baggage. Is this just the additional 15kg and is there a limit on the number of bags?
I believe you'll find that the additional 15kg that you gain as a QFF Gold will only be applicable on flights physically operated by QF metal ie: QF1 to DXB. Any onward or transfer to another carrier to DOH could see this additional 15kg as excess luggage and charged accordingly.

If your baggage allowance is listed as a total weight allowance then you can have a number of items.
