For the sake of clarity, which are you trying to compare?

The Qantas Club Lounge at the Domestic Terminal; or

The Qantas Domestic Business Lounge at the Domestic Terminal; or

The Qantas Business Lounge at the International Terminal?

Interestingly they also have a First Lounge in the International Terminal..

QF only has one international lounge at BNE, and that is a Business Lounge. The Qantas Clubs are domestic only, and there is no International First lounge at Brisbane either (they are only at SYD and MEL).

So there's not really nothing to compare...

Actually, the Qantas site indicates there is a First Lounge at the BNE International Terminal. However it probably doesn't compare to the offerings at SYD or MEL.

Wow, I didn't realise that was still there (though you're quite right, now that I've checked the site).

Does this mean that they haven't been updated in years (I was last there around this time 2008). They were both pretty shabby then, I can't imagine the state they're in now...

I'm guessing its a good notch below the AKL First Lounge. I should really find out given BNE is my local airport. However, I seem to always fly internationally from SYD/MEL...

However, in response to the OP, if you're flying domestically you're limited to the lounges in the domestic terminal, with access to domestic business when flying business or as platinum. The exception to this being QF20 or QF8 which depart from the international terminal early mornings and fly to Sydney. However, I'd only consider this if you wanted an alternative to the domestic Qantas Club (and couldn't access the domestic business lounge) or were connecting to an international flight in Sydney.

There are 2 international lounges for QF at BNE. The First lounge is very small but is comfy enough for a short stay - nothing like the First lounges at SYD and MEL

It's been mentioned, but put simply, at Brisbane International Terminal:

  • Qantas Business Lounge- just enough size for one or two flights of bussiness passengers. alright food. Good barista service.
  • Qantas First Lounge- much smaller lounge. only ever filled with Plat/Plat1 members. better food.
  • Qantas Chairmans Club- not publiscised. standard Chairmans club lounge.
Enjoy your trip.

It's small ,in all aspects, small counter for food and drinks, small area to sit ,in fact you wonder if you are in the right place.
