I'm a fan of rooftop bars in Singapore - can't attest their martini (even lychee!) will be up to 'superb' standard. Tried 1 Altitude on the last visit, quite good (http://www.1-altitude.com), see also http://www.cnngo.com/singapore/drink/best-singapore-rooftop-bars-197848.

1. Nektar at Scotts Road for bespoke cocktails

2.Level 33 at Marina Bay Financial Centre for brewed beers

3. Orgo bar at Esplanade rooftop

4. Ku de ta at Marina Bay Sands

5. PS cafe at Palais Renaissance

6. Tippling Club at Dempsey Road

Try the area around Ann Siang and Club Road.

check out the bar at the Marina Sands hotel. 

I would second - Ku de ta at Marina Bay Sands. I was there for the Singapore F1 a few weeks back, the view over the Marina and the Gardens by the Bar is spectacular!

A trick to avoid paying the rooftop viewing entry fee, is to make a booking at the bar. Then you can go up for free.
