Noise-cancelling headphones in business class

Do you keep the noise cancelling headphones in business class

Negative, they are not yours to keep.

I saw a guy on a QF domestic flight sitting in the back of economy with a set of noise cancelling headphones sporting the QF logo on the side a few months back. 

Sure, you can pinch them, but this is not what airlines expected you to do. And besides they fairly useless outside aircraft simply because they used non-domestic connector. Not saying that they usually not top quality.

PS. You also can pinch cutlery, caps and dishes not mention napkins in toilet. And of course you can take information card as a “souvenir”

Sometimes a high tier passenger sitting in economy will be offered business noise cancelling headphones by the crew.  It happened to me once, as a QF Platinum sitting at the back of economy from LA, I was approched by the service manager to welcome me and offer me a pair of business headphones (as there were plenty of spares), I gladly accepted as the batteries in my personal set were flat!

“QF Platinum sitting at the back of economy from LA” – you have to fly a lot in economy to score Platinum card.

What a silly thing to say.

I do not think so – if I would fly so much that I could get Platinum, then for sure I would not fly LAX-MEL in economy. My message above was sarcasm if you did not get it.

There are a number of FFs who have made Platinum solely on Discount Economy fares -- they are just very frequent flyers.

While some are lucky enought to have business fund / personally fund Business/ First, others do it the long way

Happens on most if not all QF International flights. As QF Plat I'm offered them everytime I head over to Auckland in economy. 

And I've also done BNE-LAX in economy as it was school holidays and I missed out on an upgrade, and my work doesn't pay for premium fares. Suffice to say the crew bought me Biz headphones, wine from J, a J dessert, and a J coffee the next morning.   

Unlike Serg the international crews know that a Platinum in economy means a tighta**e employer so they do what ever they can to look after us. I certainly appreciate it and its a key driver of my loyalty to Qantas.

This is a little bit naughty but you can actually remove the jack on most of the new QF economy headphones in the case that you need one for your personal set.

Only the Bose ones are worth taking. AA crew do a full inventory check before plane lands. Goodness me - the stink they kick up if numbers don't reconcile with records!

And fair enough too, you have to be a bit sad to want to try to steal these things
