I would love to see it. Flying to the UK at Christmas however I have to go via Melbourne to try for an upgrade as QF does not fly from BNE to LHR, so will miss out on the Brisbane lounge experience. Please please please.
My wife and I are due to fly to Hong Kong on 19 Oct to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. So unless I win then I won't get to sample the Qantas lounge until FOREVER. Love to go to the airport a day early to test it out.
In the context of the present discussion, please note that the contest is not "state based", as Queensland does end just north of the Sunshine Coast. Living in Townsville, and travelling overseas reasonably often almost always means flying a long way south before going overseas. Why exclude folks like me (yes, there are quite a few QFFs up here) from competitions such as this? Either include us, or else refer to the eligible population as "SE Queensland residents".

That's a fair comment, Fenoglio. We really just wanted to keep this contest relatively 'local' to Brisbane Airport, but we'll consider a broader state-based approach for future BNE lounge openings (eg the new Qantas domestic business lounge) should the opportunity arise.
