Both the MH and CX lounges at the satellite building are dire. The MH First class lounge is marginally better but I find the food offering abysmal.
But if you're flying MH KUL/SIN you'll probably fly from the main building i.e. no need to catch the train. The MH Regional lounge there, is not worth visiting. If I were you, I'd go to the Starbucks next door.
Yes, MH has really slipped, First and Business lounges in the satellite are rubbish, I hear the CX lounge (if open at the time you're there) is slightly better. If you're going from the main building, the MH Regional is actually not too bad.
People must have this flipped around. The MH regional lounge is utterly terrible and the satellite not too bad. The satellite has ample more space, better bathrooms and better food selection than the regional which is a dive. Just look at the bathrooms and you will see why. Cant comment on the CX lounge but either way your options are limited at KUL.
You'll find that the MH F lounge in the satellite building is usually empty, so if you're looking for a space to relax, then that would be your best bet. This also means that there are several people serving you at any time so it's quite attentive. They also have a small dining room where they offer a-la-carte dining, but as mentioned, the food is nothing amazing - can't compare to the QF or CX flagship F lounges in SYD/MEL and HKG.
I agree with all the above, but for the benefit of the OP:
The "Main" terminal is, in fact, mostly for regional flights. The "Satellite" terminal hosts most of the long-haul flights and, therefore, the long-haul carriers. MH has a domestic lounge (crap) in the domestic terminal, regional lounge (poor) in the main terminal, and international business/first class lounges (in the same area - turn left for business, right for first) in the satellite terminal. The first class lounge is much quieter in terms of traffic than the J lounge, and is comfortable. It also has a cigar room, should OP be so inclined, and a restaurant area with a (limited) a la carte menu, which is somewhat hit and miss. The staff are polite and friendly, up to a point, but working with decidedly limited infrastructure. On my first visit there, 3 or 4 years ago, I asked what wines they had in the F lounge. "Oh, yes sir, well we have red AND white". Which pretty much sums it up. They were, incidentally, exactly the same two wines served in the regional and business class lounge (hey, it was a five-hour layover, I checked!).
The CX lounge is (as you may have gathered) in the satellite terminal. It feels somewhat cramped - a lot of seats in not much space - but is just an average regional lounge, nothing special. The wines are better than MH (as of a year ago, anyway), but I still choose to use the MH F lounge for the peace and quite (well, provided they have fixed the bloody fridge which sounded like a couple of tractors). Honestly, though, there is no great lounge at KUL, which is a shame. Great airport otherwise...
One thing I would add is that in the J lounges (both regional (Main Terminal) and international (Satellite Terminal)) there is a pay-for-use spa. We (family) and I have used the spa in the Satellite Terminal and had a massage and it was very pleasant, and very reasonably priced. So if you need to pass some time away, that could be an idea for you.
I have read that MH intend to upgrade the Satellite terminal lounge. Not a decade too soon....

Yes you are right here. The satellite lounge for MH is quite nice. The first class section has table service etc and is very quiet and relaxed. The CX lounge is quite small. Have used both of these a few times.
As a frequent One World Emerald KUL user I can confirm that there is not
one decent lounge for One World members. In fact, there is nothing
about KLIA 1 that I can say anything good about and do not want
to really say what I think about KLIA II for fear of being banned from
entering Malaysia
Flying KUL to SIN is a half day trek
and is marginally faster than CBD to CBD bus or driving. A colleague
drives in 5 hours (with light traffic at JB crossing) - Google maps is
quoting a time of 4 hours this morning. It takes 1 hour from KLCC to KUL
if the traffic is OK, 90 minutes prior to departure check in, 1 hour
flight, 30 mins to get bags and into a taxi, 30 mins to Singapore CBD =
4.5 hours. The reverse trip via KLIA II on a busy day with long queues
for immigration, baggage screening (on arrival), booking a taxi ticket,
walking for miles etc = easily a 6 hour journey. The fast train from SIN
to KLCC will wipe out the airlines on this route - 90 minutes, easy,
more comfortable than sardine tin airline travel, competitive pricing -
but the next train departs (maybe) in 10 .... years.
