FlightAware indicates CX617 is usually a Boeing 777-200 but sometimes a Boeing 777-300; the Boeing 777-200 is regional business class and I'd expect any 777-300 on this route would be likewise. CX709 seems to mainly run an Airbus A330, for which SeatGuru lists both international business class and regional business class, but I'd expect this route to see the regional business class A330.

Unfortunately you wrong in almost all points. 1.Qantas booking states that CX617 uses A330, not B777 2.CX709 listed A350-900, not A330. 3.I have booking BKK-HKG in CX702 and it uses B777-300ER and it definitely international layout - I choose seats on it in CX website. My understanding that all A330 are regional, some B777 are regional (may be 200?) while some international (may be 300?) and all A350 are international. But it is my guesswork and I love to know for sure.
I'm just quoting what I found on FlightAware & SeatGuru, not having first-hand knowledge of this... won't bother spending my time on this next time.
Hi David,
Please do not take it as an assault, but indeed I did my homework before posting and I stated in my previous post that I checked Seatguru and it was useless in this instance. Experflyer free edition also little of help, so I though may be someone flew it recently or have insight knowledge. And BTW why did you deleted rest of my message? Maybe someone proof (or otherwise critisize) my theory?

Is it regional or international? Or it depends? How I can find out before purchasing? Most curious about CX617 and CX709.

Update:
Booked CX703 and it (according to CX website where I choose my seat) flying A340 with old international layout. Go figure.
