From memory Qantas often runs a Double Status Points offer at this time of year. I am about to book a flight to HKG and SIN (in economy) and need the extra status points to ensure I retain Platinum for the coming year. Has anyone got wind of any likely Double Status Points offer in coming days or week? Many thanks!
There was a double points offer on 3 April last year and a double status points offer on 28 April last year. I'm not sure if all people receive the offers and the same offers were at different times the year before (2015).
As I recall, both the double-points and double-credits deals of last April were open to everybody. I certainly know a lot of frequent flyers who took advantage of them, especially the latter!
Regional location to LHR in Bus = 600 status credits x 2 = retained platinum... However cheapest way is to book 3 regional NSW to NZ eg AKL, CHC trips in business = 3 x 200 x 2 = 1200 status credits. Yay.. Platinum again. Sorry but the regional NSW to NZ in bus is the best 'status run' that I have come across if you need/want to achieve Plat. However, you could stay at home and mow the lawn...
I booked a DSC eligible flight and flew during the promotional period. My return flight was flexible and therefore I flew earlier in the day after changing my flight online. I then changed it again at the airport at the kiosk on check in to an even earlier flight, as suggested by the kiosk.
Is my flight - and my whole booking for that matter - still eligible for DSC? I'm not sure how to take the T&Cs. Surely I shouldn't be penalised if it is a change to fly on the same date?

I received a QF email offer of 50% SC bonus in Jan this year; had a 1 week booking window for flights until mid-April.

If it is like their previous promotions, it can take anywhere between a few days and a couple of weeks. Mine are mostly there within a week, though.

As an update to how long they take to post - my first double status credits posted today, 8 days after the flight.
