Velocity members can now earn points when flying on regional airline FlyPelican
This is a points only opportunity - status credits are not earned. In addition, there is no ability to redeem flights on FlyPelican, nor do you get access to whatever Virgin lounge there may be!
Interesting that they describe Velocity as "one of Australia’s largest loyalty programs", and only mention Virgin Australia in the fine print - to say they are not partners.
Is this perhaps a first - a deal by Velocity with another airline, that has no relationship with VA?
