I'm flying QF 27 on an upcoming Sunday and recently noticed that the flight changed and is leaving an hour earlier.
No big deal, but I looked on Google Flights and noticed that the flight leaves one hour earlier on Sundays only (11:35 v 12:30) but arrives 5 minutes later than normal (11:15 v 11:10)?
Does anyone know why this is? ?From memory when I booked the flight everything was the same time.
Daylight Savings is coming to a close soon. 2nd April in Sydney, but 14th May in Santiago. Maybe your flight has been updated to reflect this. It would explain why the flight is perceived to be an hour longer.
As of right now, that screen shot would be correct. This coming Sundays flight would be after the clocks are pushed back. However this weeks Tuesday/Wednesday and Friday flights are still during daylight savings time. I reckon after this weeks Friday flight, the schedule will be updated with the remaining flights leaving an hour earlier.
On a wider note, I'm not sure what is happening at Qantas lately?
In February, I booked a SYD-(DFW)-MIA-(LAX)-SYD itinerary for late May. However, after receiving the original eTkt, I have received three (3) subsequent involuntary re-issues.
One of those re-issues, had me arriving back in SYD the same day I left MIA (rather than '+2'). Considering how long QF has flown to the USA, this was just plain stupidity.

Thanks! That makes more sense than the plane taking a lazy Sunday.

Google has updated to show 11:35am departure on all 4 weekly flights.
