Are there any A330 flights from Perth- Brisbane anymore now that VA have started their HKG services? I can't find any but maybe I have missed something.
If it's just the B737 then they have well and truly lost me to QF. No way am I going to pay that amount for a miserable B737 J seat compared to an A330 J seat in QF.
If the fare was the same as via Sydney and that does have A330 services then I would stay with VA but not as it is.
I was very supportive of VA but unfortunately comfort and money are big deciders when it comes to loyalty!!!
Never thought I would ever have to start flying with the " Big White Rat " !!
I flew PER to BNE last week, only option for days was on the 738. So, I'd say the A330s are gone. It was only a 3 1/2 flight back, but on the way over I went on the A330 out of Sydney as it's almost 6 hours this time of year. Plus I do a day's business in Sydney on the way over. I flew VA to get my status credits up for my renewal and was able to use one of my upgrades on the A330. It's so good! Next time though the way back will be on QFs A330s. Sorry, but the domestic product on the 738s (both VA and QF) is poor. At least QF give you a meal :)
VA 469 departing PER at 12:50 alternates between 737 and A330. From memory - Tue, Fri, Sat are operated on A330. If you're flexible with dates, I'd investigate that further.
The only scheduled A330 flights from Brisbane now are on Sunday's 470 flight at 1745 & Thursday's 476 flight at 2050. The evening flight out of Brisbane was commonly an A330 although this has now certainly changed.
Fun fact, I flew to Brisbane with VA the day after they stopped flying the A330 between PER-BNE. I was in the exit row, so I wasn't complaining though.
